These complications can vary in severity and can affect the health of both the mother and the baby. Some of the possible complication include ectopic pregnancy, hyperemesis graviderum, cholestasis, gestational diabetes, chronic hypertension during pregnancy, gestational hypertension, preterm labor, macrosomia and intrauterine growth restriction.


Obstetrics

Performed and/or assisted in 1000+ delivery. Childbirth is a complex process and various complications can arise during labor and delivery. These complications require medical management and intervention. Some possible complications during childbirth include prolonged labor, fetal distress, shoulder dystocia, uterine rupture, perineal tears, eclampsia, umbilical cord prolapse, and infection. There are some complications that require the use of an operative delivery such as a vacuum, forceps or cesarean section.


Childbirth Experience

The "fourth trimester", which encompasses the weeks and months post-delivery, is a critical phase during which various complications can occur. Some potential complications include postpartum hemorrhage, infection, perineal tears, deep vein thrombosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and delayed recovery. Also, close monitoring and appropriate postoperative care are essential to prevent and manage cesarean-related complications.


Postpartum Care

Complications can occur during routine screenings, diagnostic procedures, or treatment interventions. Some possible complications during gynecological care include infection, prolonged vaginal bleeding, incorrect management of contraceptive devices, adverse reactions to medications, and psychological impact on medical procedures.
