Mica Alexander is a highly accomplished professional with a unique combination of nursing and legal expertise. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and Master’s of Science in Women’s Health and Midwifery, where she excelled academically and demonstrated a passion for patient care and advocacy. Following her nursing education, Mica gained valuable clinical experience working in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and clinics.

With her father and brother being attorneys, she developed interest in law and a desire to advocate for her patients' rights. Mica pursued a post-master’s certificate in Legal Nursing Consulting. During the program, she focused on healthcare law and gained valuable insight into the intersection of healthcare and legal issues, including medical malpractice, regulatory compliance, and healthcare litigation.

Professional Experience: After completing her education in 2009, Mica embarked on a career that embodied various aspects of nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and Labor and Delivery. She was the nurse educator in a grassroots study to prevent subsequent pregnancies in the teen population. She has also practiced Midwifery in various settings for the last decade. As a practicing Nurse Midwife, she has provided prenatal care, GYN care, performed 1000+ vaginal deliveries and assisted in cesarean sections. Her experiences developed a deep understanding of the complexities of healthcare delivery, medical standards of care, and legal principles governing healthcare disputes.

Recognizing the growing demand for expert nursing input in legal cases involving healthcare issues, Mica founded MAAK Enterprise, a boutique firm specializing in legal nurse consulting services. Leveraging her extensive experience as both a nurse and a midwife, Mica established the firm as a trusted resource for attorneys seeking expert assistance in medical-related legal matters.
